Hot Chocolate Bombs
Ingredients:
2 cups chocolate chips (milk, dark, or white chocolate)
1/2 cup hot cocoa mix
Mini marshmallows
Holiday sprinkles (optional)
Equipment:
Silicone chocolate sphere molds
Pastry brush or small spoon

Instructions:
- Melt the Chocolate:
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 20-30 second intervals, stirring between each to prevent burning. Alternatively, use a double boiler.
- Coat the Molds:
Use a pastry brush or small spoon to coat the inside of the silicone molds with melted chocolate. Ensure an even layer without thin spots.
Refrigerate the molds for about 10 minutes, then apply a second chocolate layer for extra thickness. Chill again until set.
- Remove the Chocolate Shells:
Gently remove the hardened chocolate shells from the molds.
- Fill the Bombs:
Spoon 1-2 teaspoons of hot cocoa mix into half of the chocolate shells.
Add a few mini marshmallows and any holiday sprinkles if desired.
- Seal the Bombs:
Warm a plate for a few seconds in the microwave.
Take an empty chocolate shell, gently press it against the warm plate to slightly melt the edges, and immediately place it on top of a filled shell to seal.
Use any leftover melted chocolate to seal gaps if necessary.
- Decorate (Optional):
Drizzle melted white or dark chocolate over the top, and sprinkle with holiday-themed decorations like edible glitter or sprinkles.
- To Serve:
Place a hot chocolate bomb in a mug and pour steaming hot milk over it. Stir and watch the marshmallows float up as the chocolate melts!
Enjoy this festive treat – perfect for cozy winter nights!
